Well we are settling in at home...I suppose you could call it that. Or barely staying afloat :)
Miss Meena is a vigorous little eater, much different from how her sleepy big sis was. She feeds really well and gets some nice long naps during the day...then 6pm rolls around and the naps stop and the cluster feeding begins. She sucks on me usually from about 6pm-1am with only taking mini breaks about 10-15min long. So mama is a little tired, but getting by.
Mala in my opinion is doing fantastic...of course this is a huge adjustment for her. The little sister she has been excitedly anticipating for months is finally here and all she does is suck on mommy, cry, and sleep. What a bummer!
She is so sweet though and rather than being angry at me or the baby she just wants to hug me and tell me she loves me and wants me to play with her. She is very understanding of my big boo boo on my belly and that I can't pick her up, but it's still hard. Everyday she asks if my boo boo is better. She is very gentle with Meena and gets excited over sneezes, yawns, and when she's awake.
She's at school today and went happily which is a good thing. Yesterday we got her all ready for school and she burst into tears once in the car, breaking my heart and Anil's so we put in a movie instead.
We have had so so much help...Anil's parents were here the day before the birth and kept Mala, then Aunt Steph and Michael came once we got home. Aunt Steph was exactly what Mala needed and gave her undivided attention all day long. Now it's mom here around the clock doing laundry, cleaning, walking Amelia, and keeping Mala fed and entertained. We are so thankful to have such loving family!
Ok...I have to go feed Miss Meena Bean.
