First day of Kindergarten! 9/8/14
Walking with dad, she insisted she carry her backpack that was super weighted down with school supplies
She did it! Practice run, riding the bus to afterschool daycare, where she will be riding it on the days I work.

Mala had a great first day of Kindergarten today. She said it was fun, she is in class with her friend Natalie that she met at safety city, so this was exciting. She did not really like the cafeteria food (she wanted to give it a try), so we are packing a lunch tomorrow. Although she really liked getting her tray, said she did it just like and adult! So we will pick and choose which days she eats in the cafeteria. She said she got cold today at recess so she didn't feel like playing, we will have to dress warmer tomorrow. She likes her teacher. She had fun riding the bus, she was sitting in the first row of the bus. I waited at the daycare for her so we can practice a few times before I start work on Wednesday. So far things are going smoothly for this little lady. She was a bit overwhelmed with all my excited questions and stopped answering me. She is currently taking a little afternoon nap on the couch which is a true rarity for her, so school must be a little tiring. So excited for this little girl! I know she is going to soar!
And this little lady had a test run at preschool last week and did great! She walked right in, more like galloped in. Galloping is her thing, why walk when you can gallop. She took her teachers hand and was ready to go eat some muffins by the time I was heading out the door. The teachers loved her and said she likes to sing. They particularly liked that she sang a potty song to herself while she went potty. She will be starting her regular preschool schedule when I start work on Wednesday!
On another note, we've had the pleasure of having our dear friends out to visit! So much fun spending time with these two!
