last week with Gigi before daycare

 

There is no disputing that Meena loves her Gigi and Gigi loves her Meena.  Last October while in daycare Meena got sick and just couldn't get better.  It was one thing after another and that sweet little baby was just sick all the time, at one point very very sick, scary sick.  We'd already had a bad nanny experience and were scratching our heads about what to do.  Gigi to the rescue.  Gigi decided she was not going to stand by while this little girl battled fever after fever.  So she gets up extra early in the mornings 3 days a week to avoid morning traffic.  She spends probably over an hour most days on the way home, battling evening traffic.  And she takes amazing care of this little baby, probably spoiling her rotten.  Meena gets all the hugs and kisses she could ever need, she plays outside, she scoots around town with her Gigi, they read books, sing songs...you name it, anything you could ask for, Meena gets with her Gigi.  It has been so comforting over these past several months knowing that Meena has been with someone that loves her just as much as I do.  Knowing that she is safe and sound and happy all day long.  We have been so lucky to have Gigi taking care of this sweet little girl.  We know Miss Meena bean can be tiring with her constant climbing and getting into everything imaginable.  We think it's the right time for Meena to give it another shot at daycare, but this change is going to be hard on us all.
