Not too shabby for an April weekend

This morning we packed up with mom and dad and flew to the beach for the day. Got there, ate a yummy breakfast at Causeway Gourmet then spent the afternoon on the beach. Mala is finally at the age that she loves the beach! For the past 2 years she has not been a huge fan of the sand or the ocean, but she had a blast today and would have stayed longer had we let her. She shoveled in the sand, stomped in tide pools, and chased sea gulls. Late afternoon we packed up again and flew home, Mala passed out almost immediately and slept the whole flight home.

Saturday was not bad either, after the rain cleared we rode bikes to the art walk on our street and Mala immediately spotted the band and wanted to dance. She danced her little heart out, watching her shadow and not a care in the world. We drank lemonade and ate a chocolate covered strawberry. I of course longingly looked at all the pottery and paintings, but my little love would not slow down long enough for me to get a second glance. All in all, good weekend and the terrible mom that I am, not a single picture!

A busy but fun day and discovered Causeway Gourmet breakfast. Watching her chase seagulls reminded me of you.
